We are seeing patients face-to-face, provided they have no cold or flu like symptoms. Due to the evolving nature of the corona virus and state lockdowns, Medicare rebates are not promised, new patients may have an out of pocket expense.
COVID-19 VACCINE NOTICE
Woollahra General Practice is continuing to provide booster shots for people requiring them. To manage vaccine vials appropriately, these appointments are best made by phone. Please call the practice to make an appointment with a GP or the practice nurse. Please note, new patients to the practice will need to see a GP on their first visit.
ATAGI has recommended the 4th booster dose for people over 65 or who are over 16 and immunocompromised. This booster should be given 3 months after the 3rd dose or a Covid-19 infection.
If you do not have a Medicare card you will need to get your vaccine form another provider.
We are currently offering Pfizer and Nuvovax.
We take the safety and wellbeing of our patients, doctors and staff most seriously. We request that ALL patients with viral symptoms book phone consultations before visiting us in person. It is up to each GP to make a judgement and assess their own level of risk before deciding to see you face to face.
Therefore, if you are experiencing symptoms of fever or respiratory infection DO NOT ATTEND the practice, but DO call reception who will make arrangements for you to have a phone consultation with a doctor 9360 4712. If your symptoms become serious you should call 000.
Please note we are not routinely testing for COVID-19 at the practice.
The National Corona Virus Information Line is 1800 020 080.
Whilst we are all dealing with the corona virus pandemic, we would also like to reassure you that we are here for you.
Appointments which should not be postponed include; childhood immunisations, skin checks, chronic disease management, mental health, pre & post-natal checks and any unusual findings of concern. Please contact reception and an appointment will be made for you.
We thank you for your understanding

While 2021 has not become the fresh, challenge free year we were all hoping for, we would like you to know that we are here to support you in any way we can.
In other news, we are very excited to have Dr Sally Lyttleton join our team from Paddington Family Practice.
Also the travel bubble between Australia and New Zealand, though short lived, worked in our favour with the return of the much loved Dr Kirsten Palmer to the WGP team.
